ABOUT ME

I have always loved everything creative. When I was young, I chose drawing as one of my 4-H projects and while it was not a stunning effort, I enjoyed it! As I got older, I never lost my love of creating, from crocheting, to drawing, to painting, sewing, wire art, jewelry, scrapbooking, etc. In the last few years, I have discovered that painting and jewelry are the two mediums that I most love. I paint in oil and acrylics. My jewelry is very meaningful, make sure you check it out!

My Mediums

I use different mediums- oil, acrylic, gouache and watercolor. My first loves are oil and acrylic, but I love venturing into other mediums to get different effects. Every different medium teaches you something different about how paint moves and covers the canvas.

My Inspiration

I am definitely an outdoor person and am constantly taking pictures to inspire my paintings. Watching clouds and the amazing forms they take, seeing the wildflowers and downed trees and the way they join together to make a beautiful, serene scene in the woods all make me want to take portions of what I see and paint it! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Painting Parties

Do you have a group that would enjoy spending an evening together painting a picture? I would love to come help you and your group have a fun evening! I also enjoy teaching easy painting parties for children's birthdays.
